Whether you think you can, or that you can't, you are usually right.

The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

Every piece of wood has a hidden treasure inside! My undertaking is to find the treasure and allow it to be discovered. As an avid woodworker most of my adult life, I create unique and unusual bowls, vessels, platters and works of art.

My goal is to make the unique. My favorite woods are camphor, cherry, cedar, spalted-maple, norfork pine, oak and various exotic species. I look for the odd shape in raw wood, stumps, or the unusual knot or burl. I want the stump that is thrown away by the sawmill and lumberman. I want bark intrusions, worm holes, even some wood rot is okay with me. I make one of a kind bowls, both turned and machine carved.

I also make fine writing instruments made from exotic woods, antler drops and horn.
